In the nineties, this important company developed in its own Research Centre, a technique for the injection in the trunk of substances for the treatment of important pathogens in tall trees. A lot of these plants were heritage of important Italian cities. The method took the name of I.C.A. (Iniezioni Controllate Alberature which means controlled injection in trees). These equipment and professional know-how are now used by Soradis S.I.A. S.r.l.

Depending on the type, place and life-cycle of the plant and insect, Soradis S.I.A. S.r.l. uses the I.C.A. method together with the natural absorption method. This method is mainly based on the natural absorption of substances through the plant capacity to translocate the product inside its own xylem stream.

Contrary to the I.C.A. method where the substance is injected with high pressure in the trunk with specific tools, in the natural absorption method the substance is introduced in the trunk by means of a tiny hole and special dispensers. The plant itself will absorb the substance naturally over time.
