Refueling extinguishing liquids on Canadair CL-415 aircraft

The Canadair CL-415 is a turboprop amphibious aircraft specifically designed for fighting forest fires. It is capable of carrying up to 6,137 liters of water, which it can load in less than 12 seconds by landing on various water surfaces.

Italy has the largest fleet of such aircraft in the world, with 18 planes currently in service, which are particularly effective given the shape of our territory.

Refueling extinguishing liquids on Erickson S-64F aircraft

The Erickson S-64F, also known as the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane, is a heavy twin-engine helicopter designed for aerial work and lifting very heavy loads.

It was originally developed by Sikorsky in the 1960s for the American military, but is now produced and operated by Erickson Air-Crane.

In Italy, it is mainly used for firefighting missions, thanks to its ability to carry up to 10,000 liters of water loaded in less than a minute, as well as foam and fire retardant products.

Modular Airborne FireFighting System

The MAFFS (Modular Airborne FireFighting System) is a modular, palletized system used for fighting forest fires.

It can be installed on board military cargo aircraft, such as the Lockheed-Martin C-130 Hercules and Super Hercules, Leonardo C27J Spartan, Airbus C-295, and Embraer KC-390.

This system allows for quickly transforming a transport aircraft into a firefighting support unit, effectively making it an Air Tanker.

Soradis, thanks to its decades-long experience in the field, is capable of managing the refueling operations of this system.

Refueling extinguishing liquids on Air Tractor AT-802F Fire Boss aircraft

The Air Tractor AT-802F Fire Boss is a single-engine firefighting aircraft equipped with amphibious floats that allow it to land on water and refill its water tank directly from lakes or sea, up to 3100 liters.

It is equipped with a foam liquid tank with an injection system to the water tank collected from water sources.

Its drop system makes it an excellent firefighting tool, also for retardant liquids that are refilled before each mission.

It can fly at a maximum speed of nearly 300 km/h. Its PT6A-67F turbine engine and ability to operate from unprepared runways make it extremely effective in firefighting
